What is upcycling?

UPCYCLING

Do you remember that glass of famous cocoa cream that’s now part of your daily tableware? At the time, you may not have known it, but you were upcycling!

Upcycling is that spark of magic that gives a second, better life (yes, that's where the "up" comes from) to things that would otherwise end up in the trash. In our case, most of our upcycled ingredients are foods that could be categorized as “unusual” or “at their peak of maturity.” But, surprise surprise, it turns out they have a lot, and when we say a lot, we mean a lot of amazing properties for your skin.

At GSKIN, we're going to show you how the imperfect can be exceptional.

So what's the difference between upcycling and recycling?

Good question! They're both in the game of saving the planet, but this is where it gets interesting.

Upcycling

Creativity and Added Value

When we upcycle, we give new uses to products that would otherwise end up in the trash. This process, in addition to being environmentally friendly, is creative, providing greater value (hence the "up"). It combines discards, creativity and renewed value. The result? Unique and sustainable cosmetic products.

Recycling

Industrial Transformation

Recycling, on the other hand, involves an industrial process. We collect waste to turn it into raw material and create a new object, but in this case, with a value similar to the original.

At GSKIN, we transform the unusual into true cosmetic beauty. Discover the magic of upcycling with us.
